  The Northern Social Work Student Association is a non-profit
organization
founded by

students to promote social work issues in the north. The general mandate
of the association is

to promote social issues with accordance to social work values and
prinicples in order to

attain social justice for all.
The aims of the association include
-Promote social work activites and events in the north
-Provide general information
-Advocacy
-Peer Support
-Community development & public involvment in current local, national
and
international

concerns
-Linking work with that of the northern branch of the British Columbia
Association of Social

Work (BCASW)
-Liase with student representatives
-Organize events and activities
-Bridging gaps within the helping professions and building strong links
with students
-Building inclusiveness regional students
-Conflict resolution
